"The Harvard Forest report cites both the Litchfield Hills Greenprint Collaborative — organized by the Housatonic Valley Association — and the Fairfield County Regional Conservation Partnership and its Hudson to Housatonic Conservation Initiative as models of this kind of collaborative work.
Tim Abbott, director the Greenprint Collaborative, said its goal of preserving about 75,000 acres of open space could be done at the rate of about 5,000 acres a year.
